United took on Romanos hoping to get a first win for a few weeks and with a few extra players available the lads were hoping to ensure the 3 points came home with them
However, a very sloppy start from United seen them concede two stupid goals in two minutes and on the quarter hour a long range effort made it 3-0 to Romanos
A tactic change settled things down but it remained 3-0 at half time.
United pulled a goal back from the penalty spot on 52 minutes when Dale Spence was brought down and Chris Wasey stepped up to grab his first goal for the club finding the bottom left corner
United were looking the better team but somehow found themselves 4-1 down when a shot came back off the bar and was bundled in despite looking offside
United rallied though and got a second when Chris Wasey got his first assist for the club crossing the ball into the box where James Slack was on hand to head home
With 15 minutes left United grabbed a third after a great passage of play ended with a lay back by Sean Bage which James Slack curled brilliantly into the far corner
United huffed and puffed but couldn't find the equaliser and with United pressing Romanos had some chances which they could have extended their lead.
United should have had a penalty right on full time when Dale Spence was brought down but the referee didn't give it and blew for full time
A frustrating defeat in a game that should have been a victory
