What a performance from Wear Under under 15’s against comfortably top of the league unbeaten Washington

Lots of United early chances were punished with a good Washington goal on 15 minutes against the run of play

The lads dug in and got a deserved equaliser through Alfie on 25 minutes

Washington went back ahead 2-1 when United had chances to clear their lines but didn’t but then United deservedly equalised on 35 with a calmly slotted goal by Josh into the bottom left corner - half time 2-2 - but United had the better chances

Second half was a battle but again the better football was played by United and Jake got his goal to put United 3-2 ahead

Some good defending and good saves from the Washington keeper kept the score at 3-2 but it was United who looked the more likely to score again

The last 10-15 minutes got heated but the United boys kept their heads and stood their ground and gave as good as they got

Not one player let the team down today and coach Neil is sure the lads can still win the league!
