What a game that was! Wear United were coming off the back of a heavy defeat in their last game so it was decided to change the formation and try something new with some players in new positions.

In the first half United were unlucky to go 1-0 down as the lads had full control of the game. The opposition coach complimented how well the lads played and said they’ve never had as many chances created against them in any game they’ve played this season!

United got the break and Corey scored a beauty goal after being unlucky not to have scored following a few excellent saves from the Washington Keeper.

Just before half time Gideon scored a great finish to put United 2-1 up and confidence was high.

The second half saw Washington make some tactical changes and they also started to get ahead in the game but United were always dangerous on the attack.

Harry in goal made some worldie last gasp saves to keep the lads in the game and it was a finish any striker would be proud of that brought Washington level at 2-2.

Looking for the winner, United made changes to the formation and put 2 up top, but unfortunately this meant Washington managed to break away and score a last minute winner.

Every single one of the lads put 110% in today in what was United's best performance of the season. On another day the lads win that game.

Some superb performances from Danny, Thomas, Corey, Leif, Junior, Kai and Jacob but it was goalkeeper Harry who took the Player of the Match for commanding his box and pulling off some amazing saves.
